Israel should instead of allowing Jordan to transfer more weapons to the Palestinian Authority be more worried about the latest threats comming from the Arab world and get prepared for the next war. Meanwhile the Palestinians continue there cruel games with Gilad Shalit. Further In an interview with Al-Jazeera television, the Israeli Defense Minister, Ehud Barak hints at handover of East Jerusalem. Of course the Arab Press is happy to pick up this story. And all this while Syria is still not ready to recognize Israel.
I am really wondering where we are heading to. A peaceful solution really doesn’t seam to be close espescially with the ongoing threats from Iran in the backgroud…

A new exhibit in Lebanon celebrates Hezbollah’s 2006 war against Israel and commemorates fallen military leader Imad Mugniyah. Though gruesome and kitschy, the show has been a huge success (Der Spiegel).
A blue laser projects a dancing Star of David on smoke wafting out of a destroyed tank. A loudspeaker roars into life, booming out artillery salvos, hammering out rifle shots. Above the noise, you can hear orders barked out in Arabic and fighters on the front speaking through walkie-talkies. For five minutes, the war is back in Lebanon — at least acoustically. Then, the sounds of combat fade away, only to be replaced by the chitchat of the visitors to the exhibit. “Look, it’s the skeleton of an Israeli soldier,” a father explains to his 3-year-old son in front of a casket with a glass lid.

According to the intelligence community in Israel, Hizbullah terrorists are becoming increasingly computer savvy, using Facebook to learn more about IDF soldiers, potential targets for kidnappings.
Yeshiva World News reported that IDF intelligence officials are concerned that soldiers may unwittingly give the enemy information through social networking sites or even arrange to meet an internet companion who is in fact a terrorist. The IDF has undertaken an aggressive awareness campaign for soldiers, instructing them to be careful regarding what information they may reveal, cautioning and instructing them not to reveal the name of the branch of the service in which they serve, unit details et cetera. This is especially true of soldiers serving in the air force, intelligence, and elite combat units.

Lauren Booth, a human rights activist who is also Tony Blair’s sister-in-law, said she is effectively trapped inside Gaza after being prevented by Israeli and Egyptian authorities from leaving.(Telegraph)
Isn’t that funny? Doesn’t she know she could do more if she stayed on the ground? AH, but that would take actually living there, which is impossible. The PA would not allow it…their cover would be blown…..All the lies they tell would be found out!

The supply of gas to Israel from its Egyptian neighbor was stopped on Friday, and as of Wednesday morning it had not yet been resumed, prompting some in Israel to fear that its main supplier of natural gas is running low on the resource. (Arutz 7)
WAIT—didn’t we give away Sinai to the Egyptians—INCLUDING THREE OIL FIELDS (solely discovered and developed by Israel) —in exchange for peace and an agreement for energy?

This is a stab in the back for Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert, defense minister Ehud Barak and his political adviser, Amos Gilead and their policy of heavy reliance on Egyptian mediation for holding down Hamas aggression from the Gaza Strip and securing the release of the kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilead Shalit.
The Hezbollah is listed by the UN and many nations as a terrorist organization.
Egypt should now face the same isolation that other countries face if they are in contact with terror groups.

From DEBKAfile:
A Dutch AIVD Secret Service ultra-secret operation underway in Iran in recent years has been halted and an agent recalled in view of “impending US plans to attack Iran,” within weeks, writes Joost de Haas in the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. According to intelligence sources in the Netherlands, the US [or Israel] would decide within weeks to attack nuclear plants with unmanned aircraft to avoid endangering air crews. The Israeli air force would be held back to defend Israel against retaliation.

“The unbridled greediness of the American and Zionist leadership is pushing the world to the edge of the cliff, should such a (conflict) erupt, the phony and artificial regimes will be annihilated.”(Ynews)
“In the event of an attack against Iran, the Israelis know that with the capabilities that the Islamic world and the Shiite world have in the region, they will suffer deadly strikes,”
The tone is getting rougher. This doesn’t look like a diplomatic solution is possible anymore. Iran, Hezbollah & Syria are arming themself up to the teeth in what appears to get ready to attack Israel.
The good thing is that Israel won’t alow a nuclear Iran.

The foreign ministry indicated that Israel is preparing for a confrontation with two boats of activists that are sailing towards Gaza in an attempt to break Israel’s naval blockade of the region. The group set sail from Cyprus Friday afternoon and are expected to arrive Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile Israel Army Radio reports that the organizers of group lost contact with the boat. I am really wondering what happened…

Al Watan Daily is reporting that:
Iran plans to send a manned rocket into space in the next 10 years, state television reported on Thursday, just days after the Islamic Republic announced it had put a dummy satellite into orbit.
Iran is doing everything to provoke the west. They want to get nuclear, they want to destroy Israel, they want Satellites and they want manned space trips. It’s about time to stop those guys.

Lebanese citizens on Thursday reported receiving recorded phone messages asking for information about missing Israeli soldiers. The message asks people to view an Israeli Web site or call a phone number in the United Kingdom if they have any information on the whereabouts of the missing troops. The Web site, www.10million.org, belongs to a foundation set up by the Israeli government, according to the Associated Press. The site pictures five missing Israeli soldiers, including Ron Arad, whose plane was shot down over Lebanon in 1986. The Web site, in English, Arabic and Farsi, offers a $10 million reward for information on any of the missing troops.
One editor for The Daily Star and three Associated Press staffers were among those who received the calls on their mobile telephones Thursday. A foundation spokeswoman refused to say if it was behind the calls.
Last month, similar messages in Lebanon criticized Hizbullah’s leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and prompted Lebanese outrage over what some officials said was the Jewish state’s tampering with Lebanon’s telecommunications system. Telecommunications Minister Jebran Bassil said last month that he wrote a letter of protest to United Nations chief Ban Ki Moon protesting over the messages, calling them a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the summer 2006 war with Israel.
Israel’s Defense Ministry declined to comment on those claims. But an Israeli official told AFP that Israel uses “all sorts of methods to weaken Hizbullah” and that it was engaged in “intelligence and electronic warfare” against the group.
Many Lebanese had received similar phone messages urging them not to support Hizbullah during the course of the 2006 war, a conflict which killed more than 1,200 Lebanese, mostly civilians and more than 160 Israelis, mostly soldiers.
